…or is it? I thought if I was able get it out of my system, I could move on. But I kind of like it.

My Rogue Alt, JC/Alch, Bank toon finally hit 80! I’m so glad that’s over with. Though the new LFG system helped out tremendously. Thank you Blizzard. Now I need to gear her up enough not to be a complete noob in Heroics.

Comments Off on Happy 5th Birthday Warcraft
Five years ago today, I was in art school. There was a break between two of my classes and my friend agreed to accompany me to Media Play so I could pick up my reserved copy of World of Warcraft. Later that night, I installed the game and joined my friends on the Kel’Thuzad server. I started a druid by the name of Rhylee. I remember the massive swarm of newbies in the starting area, the immense lag, and the feeling of not knowing what on earth I was doing and hated it all. I managed to claw my way up to level 20 before I quit and went back to Dark Age of Camelot. Some of my friends came with me and others stayed in Warcraft.
Six months later, those who came back with me to DAoC returned to Warcraft and loved it. They dragged me back to WoW kicking and screaming.
This time we were all on a new server, Hellscream. I rolled another Druid, Foxx, but this time I was able level up to 40. I still wasn’t crazy about the Druid but I was happy to play with my friends again. By now those who had stayed in Warcraft since day 1 had level 60s and were raiding Ony’s Lair and Molten Core. When the last of our DAoC friends transferred over to WoW, the people with the higher level toons decided to create alts. This is when I created Wulf, fell in love with the Hunter Class and the rest is history.

This morning while I listened to my favorite Detroit Radio Show it was reported that Sam Raimi, the director of the Spider-Man films, has agreed to direct the World of Warcraft movie. While Dark Knight producer, Charles Roven is also on board. Production for the Warcraft movie will begin after Spider-Man 4 and the movie is slated for a 2012 release.
Since we learned about the movie back in 2007 there hasn’t been more news released about the movie. This left all us Warcraft fans wondering if it was ever going to happen. I’m extremly happy to hear that this movie will begin production and I also look forward to the first teaser and trailer.

Check it out!! The Amory is now available on the iphone. The layout of this app looks awesome.
I’m not sure if this will work with the ipod touch but recently my phone contract has expired with Verizon. I’ve been debating whether or not to go back to AT&T or stay where I am. If I switched back to AT&T it would mostly be for the iphone, while Verizon makes it easier to call my family since they’re all on the same network. While I am happy with Verizon’s service, I feel that they charge way too much for my minutes while at least with AT&T they have their rollover minutes incentive.
** Even better, the app will work with the ipod touch and it’s FREE!
edit 7/28: Figured out how to show video – yay.

Alright, I’ll admit. I’ve been brainwashed by the advertising and I’ve climbed on the Mountain Dew Game Fuel bandwagon. The two different flavors, Horde Red Citrus Cheery and Alliance Blue Wild Fruit, should be for sale in stores shortly. I’m not a huge Mountain Dew drinker but I do enjoy it every so often, and I’ll probably try out each flavor at least once.
I’ve also added a banner to the right of my blog – hurray for free advertising. When you click on it two things will happen. You’ll be whisked away onto their Game Fuel website and I’ll earn tokens from it. What the tokens are for, we have no idea just yet, but there is an unactivated link to redeem the tokens you earned. Also on the site, there is a link that explains how to earn more tokens by clicking on product info, watching movies and clicking on banners from other websites. If you have a Game Fuel banner on your site, let me know and I’ll be happy to click on it for ya.
The main reason I’m excited for this promotion is mostly due to cool Battle-Bot pet.
It’s very easy to get, just sign up on their Game Fuel website and have a World of Warcraft Account. That’s it. Oh, and one more thing…this promotion is only open to US residents. It’s unknown if the Battle Bot will be a non-combat pet like the Clockwork Robot or if it’s a controlled item similar to the Crashin’ Thrashin’ Racer. Personally, I hope it’s like the Clockwork bot. I love how they blow each other up.
So sign up today, start earning your tokens, be a slave to advertising and remember, “For the Alliance.” ^_~
